Irl Hees

Pronounced Earl - Having worked with Lost Highway, the Lonesome River Band, Tony Rice, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Radio Flyer, Carl Jackson, Mare Winningham, Jennifer McCarter, Alison Krauss, Chris Jones and the Night Drivers, the Clay Hess Band, the Cleverly’s, as well as appearing on Larry’s Country Diner, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and the Grand Ole Opry, Irl Hees still admits his biggest claim to fame as having gone skeet shooting with Miles Cleverly.

Irl has been playing the upright bass for 44 years, but admits he is learning more and more about the instrument each passing day.
