Rachel Eddy

Growing up just outside of Morgantown, WV, Rachel Eddy learned to fiddle from her father and had a musical childhood.  Over the years she has taught hundreds of people to play fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar.

In 2007 Rachel moved to Nashville, TN to make her first solo recording 'Hand on the Plow', backed by Tim O'Brien, Mark Schatz, and more.  After having spent 2008-2014 living in Sweden, traveling extensively throughout Europe playing Old-time music, and recording her second solo release Nothin' But Corn, she is happy to report that coming back to the US has been wonderfully productive!

Rachel currently lives and teaches in the DC area, in addition to traveling back home every month to teach fiddle classes at West Virginia University.  Rachel sings and performs regularly with an all woman group called The Early Mays from Pittsburgh, also with the Brad and Ken Kolodner Trio from Baltimore, and as a solo artist.
