Parking Lot Vol 5 Titles

What songs would people like to see in Steve's next Parking Lot volume?
I'd like to see Magic Foot which I've heard recorded by Barenberg & Shannon. Check out YouTube to hear their duet.

Parking Lot Pickers Vol 5 Suggestion Additions

Hello Again, Mr. Kaufman!

I was just listening to 'Muleskinner Live', featuring Clarence White, & I realized that I forgot to suggest another one of my favorites, 'BLUE & LONESOME" from the aforementioned CD...

Also, Clarence & the Colonels perform really fine instrumental versions of 'FADED LOVE' & 'LISTEN TO THE MOCKINGBIRD' on the Appalachian Swing CD...

Thanks & Best Regards,
Dieter

Parking Lot Pickers Vol 5 Suggestions

Hello Mr. Kaufman!

I tried to learn 'LIFE'S MOUNTAIN RAILWAY' from your 'Flatpicking The Gospels' instructional but the song seems to begin w/ a Beginner version, morph into an Intermediate versin & conclude w/ an Advanced version (WAY beyond my ken) - I'd like to see this re-done ala the 'Parking Lot Picker' format: One verse in Beginner, one in Intermediate & one in Advanced...

Likewise, I just bought your 'Crowd Pleasers' instructional to learn 'WHY YOU BEEN GONE SO LONG' - Not as complex as 'Mountain Railway' but i'd still like a re-do w/ 3 verses/versions...

Similarly, I couldn't follow H. Traum's instructional for 'FARTHER ALONG' - Please apply your method...

Also,
From C. White & the Colonels:
'IF YOU'RE EVER GONNA LOVE ME'
'A GOOD WOMANS LOVE'

From the Dreadful Snakes:
'WHO'S THAT KNOCKING AT MY DOOR'
'TRAVELLIN DOWN THIS LONESOME ROAD'
'LONESOME WHISTLE BLUES - (This song is just like your 'In The Pines' but w/ an additional key change - Maybe you could post the key change verse?

From T. Rice or Cox Family:
'I FEEL THE BLUES MOVIN' IN'

When it comes to instruction method, you are the BEST!!! I wouldn't have 1/10th my ability or knowledge w/o your materials - Thanks SO MUCH for considering my requests..

Regards,
Dieter

I like this kind of input. Keep in mind they should be public domain and tradition if possible. Homespun may not want to incur the cost of royalties if they can help it.
Let's see a list develop.
Thanks and enjoy

"When the Saints Go Marching In" and "The Crawdad Song"

These two songs can be played simultaneously. Might be something interesting to work that into the Volume somehow.

I'd like to see Bully of the

I'd like to see Bully of the Town and Denver Belle.

Thanks for the suggestion
I might write that one out for the downloads section of the site. I first heard Doc do that one about 30 years ago. He was playing Winfield and they were broadcasting on the radio and I taped it on my little GE cassette recorder.
Great song!
