Reader's Choice AWARD WINNERS since 2002!

Thank you for your interest in our Acoustic Kamp Series. Our special Kamps are designed to gather musicians of all levels from around the globe with common goals-learning, playing, eating and sleeping music. Whether you are a beginner's beginner or a seasoned professional, each Kamp's classes and activities will inspire and challenge you. Our intent is to maintain a non-competitive, learning atmosphere that will encourage you to grow musically and seek out new ways of playing your instrument.

Steve Kaufman has put together the strongest team of Guitar, Bass, Old Time and Bluegrass Fiddle, Dobro ™, Old Time and Bluegrass Banjo, Songwriting and Vocals, Hammered and Mountain Dulcimer and Mandolin instructors the world has to offer. We feel it is the best organized, educationally beneficial, camaraderie based Kamp available.

People come from all over the world to share this experience. Everyone is nervous the first time at the Kamp - for about 15 minutes. Then they see all the love and joy and excitement around them. Everyone comes for one main purpose. To eat music, sleep music, dream music and play music! We hope you too will join us to experience this joy in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

This Year's Updates

We are planning new classes for this year. One is to have Instructor Led Ensemble Groups. You will be assigned an ensemble upon check in and meet with this group at least three times through the week during the 1pm-2pm time period. Your task will be to work on two songs for class performance on Friday morning.
This is going to be cool and I am sure you will all enjoy it.
More later.....

We will again have a Contra Dance during week one and possibly a dance during Bluegrass Week if possible. We are working on it.
